Jewelry care
Taking care of your jewelry means extending its shine and lifespan. Each material has its own characteristics: here are our tips for properly maintaining your Riversea pieces according to their composition.
925 Sterling Silver
The more you wear your silver jewelry, the better it will look. However, exposure to open air can cause the metal to tarnish naturally.
Care instructions:
-
Store your jewelry in an airtight pouch, away from sunlight and moisture.
-
Clean it occasionally with a cloth designed for silver (we can provide one upon request at the time of purchase).
-
For a deeper clean, we offer a cleaning pen specially designed for Riversea jewelry – [Link to product].
Apply the product to the jewelry, rinse with clear water, then dry it gently with a soft cloth.
Good to know:
925 silver is a malleable material. It is therefore normal for some rings to slightly deform over time as they adapt to the shape of your fingers.
We offer the option to reshape your rings for free at either of our two boutiques, using our specialized tool.
Pearl jewelry
Pearls are delicate materials that require special attention.
Care instructions:
-
Avoid any contact with soaps, perfumes, chemicals, or abrasives — this can weaken the cord holding the pearls.
-
After each wear, rinse the pearls with lukewarm water and wipe them gently with a soft cloth. This helps remove traces of cosmetics or perspiration.
Gold-filled
Gold-filled is a durable alloy, but it deserves regular care to maintain its full luster.
Care instructions:
-
Wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth after each use.
-
For a deeper clean, use a mild soap solution or a suitable jewelry cleaner.
-
Avoid harsh chemicals like bleach or chlorine.
-
Remove your jewelry during sports activities or household chores.
-
Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
-
Keep each piece separate in a lined box or pouch to prevent scratches and tangling.
